Rope Rescue Instructor Certification Workshop
Hosted By Technical Rope & Rescue Inc. 1200 Kenmount Road, Paradise NL Canada
Date: April 7-11, 2025, w/Optional pre-workshop practice sessions on April 4-6, 2025.
Description: This workshop is designed for current rope rescue instructors to test their skills and pursue certification as an ITRA Instructor. This is not a Train-the-Trainer program but rather an evaluation of the candidate’s existing expertise.
Pre-Requisites: Instructor candidates must already have experience teaching, strong personal rope rescue skills, be certified to NFPA Technician & Rope Access Level 1 or possess an equivalent level of knowledge, skills and training. Prior to being certified as an ITRA Instructor, candidates must pass the Level 3 Rope Rescue Skills Evaluation. Participants must be a professional member in good standing.
Approval: Qualified candidates must submit a teaching resume for approval by the ITRA Rope Working Group. Applications must be submitted by March 10, 2025.

ITRA Organization & Structure, Assessment Charter, Assessor Guidance, Instructor Handbook, Instructor Guidance
Assessment Criteria: Personal skills evaluation based on Level 3 Rope Rescue standards.
Effective delivery of theoretical and practical lessons.
Communication and leadership during team scenarios.
Adherence to ITRA guidelines and best practices.
Equipment Requirements: Equipment is provided for the program.
Certification: Upon successful completion of all evaluations, candidates will be certified as an ITRA Instructor and granted the ability to teach ITRA rope rescue programs.

Rope Rescue Level 3 Challenge Assessment: $375
Instructor Workshop: ITRA Early Adopter Discounted Price $950
Pre-Workshop Practice: $75/Day as Required
ITRA Membership: Paid Separately to ITRA
